Position Overview:
College Heights Christian School (CHCS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated worker who is a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to join our team as a full-time Educational Assistant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic success across various grade levels, working closely with teachers, parents, and students to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support to students from Kindergarten to Grade 9, as directed by classroom teachers.
- Assist with remediation and intervention strategies to support student learning and development.
- Utilize strong technology skills to support learning activities and classroom management.
- Foster meaningful relationships with students, promoting a positive and encouraging environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized student plans.
- Adapt to flexible schedules and diverse student needs, demonstrating patience and creativity.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Previous experience as an Educational Assistant or related role is highly desirable.
- Additional training in remediation, intervention strategies, or related areas is an asset.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive as part of a team.
- Flexibility in working with students of various ages and abilities.
- A commitment to fostering student success and upholding the values of CHCS.
